Founded in 2023 to fix a broken market
Profile Elevate started in 2023 from a simple frustration. Our founders kept watching bright students — US juniors heading into their first internship cycle, new grads staring down a tough job market, and international students racing the OPT clock — get stuck at the exact same place. They had the skills. They had the GPA. They didn't have a resume that survived an Applicant Tracking System, and they didn't have a LinkedIn profile a recruiter would click on.
The market response to that problem was bizarre. On one end of the spectrum, premium resume boutiques charged $349, $599, even $899 for what was essentially a single Word document and a phone call — pricing built for VPs and senior engineers, not 21-year-olds applying for entry-level analyst roles. On the other end, $19 services were quietly running everything through AI and shipping templated PDFs that all looked the same. There was no middle option built around students.
So we built one. Profile Elevate is the missing tier: real human writers, real 1:1 coaching, real US-recruiter expertise — at $99 to $249 instead of $349 to $899. We kept the quality high by being intentional about our model. Our leadership and writer-coach team is US-based and US-trained, so the resumes we write actually land in front of US recruiters and ATS systems the way recruiters expect to see them. Our operations and support team is based in India, which lets us keep prices honest without cutting corners on the actual writing.
The wedge that surprised even us was international students. F-1 students on OPT, students looking ahead to H-1B sponsorship, and recent grads from Indian and other international universities applying for US roles — almost no one was helping them translate their experience into the US-resume conventions that recruiters actually scan for. Today, international-student support is one of our most-requested specialties, and we've served hundreds of students through OPT applications, campus recruitment, and full job searches.
